Nursery33 is an independent micro-studio based in North Liverpool. It was established in 2001 by a group of local musicians to help redress a vacuum that we felt had arisen on the local scene. Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area has traditionally provided rich vein of musical talent and while there was no shortage of organic ‘live’ music being created and played in the early nineties, trends and tastes had seen a significant swing toward more synthetically produced ‘house’ music and consequently, more and more local ‘live’ music venues were being transformed into ‘dance’ venue’s.

| Breaking into the music business through writing songs, playing live (with instruments), getting a ‘deal’ and making ‘records’ has always been the goal and in September ‘99 a small, but significant, windfall enabled the purchase of some second-hand basic studio recording equipment. A Tascam 38 half inch tape eight track recording machine and an old 12 channel analogue mixing desk (which is still part of our digital system today) became the foundation stone of Nursery 33. |

We are currently upgrading our equipment (i.e. the Roland VS-840EX). This we hope will enable us record anywhere outside and we have now been using the 'VS-840EX' as our mobile studio. We now offer 36 track digital facilities using a variety of different industry software as well as the old eight track analogue (long live hiss) and so, happily, the story of Nursey33 continues .....
